Sonnet Poem – Key to My Heart

My beloved, you hold the key to my heart

The path of true love is never give up

Love is deep and simple yet complicated.

Through thick and thin you were always there for me

I never locked the door to my heart

Even on the darkest days and nights

That key you hold still unlocks my heart

Our hearts live as one locked together forever

Fifty-nine years of marriage untold bliss

Never to be locked from each other ever

When that day comes when we say goodbye

We will make our way to heaven with peace

Locked in each other arms to rest in accord

With the key that lasts forever in my heart.
